Claire Wiebe is a Nebraska native, lifelong politics nerd, and book enthusiast.
Claire is an Advocacy Strategist for Planned Parenthood in Omaha. Her work at Planned Parenthood focuses on grassroots lobbying, civic engagement, and patient advocacy programming. In 2018, she organized the first Nebraska Planned Parenthood Speakers Bureau, a group of dedicated advocates who use their personal stories of access to reproductive healthcare to fight for reproductive rights in Nebraska. The group has doubled in size since 2018, and members have participated in multiple events and actions to promote the work of Planned Parenthood. She feels blessed and privileged to be able to work with this group of incredibly dedicated activists.
Prior to working at Planned Parenthood, Claire lived in Washington D.C. where she worked on Capitol Hill. In her role as a Legislative Correspondent for a Congressional office, she operated a constituent communications program, coordinated tours of the Capitol building, and managed the office's internship program.
Claire is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned her bachelor's degree in History and Global Studies. She lives in Omaha with her cat, Matilda, and her dog, Skipper. In her free time she enjoys trying new foods, going new places, and hiking new trails around Omaha.
