Chandra earned her bachelors degree in psychology with an emphasis in genetics from Texas A & M University. She relocated to Orlando after participating in the Walt Disney World College Program and falling in love with both the weather and her now husband.  Enticed by the many opportunities to create great events in Orlando, Chandra began work as an event planner. Chandra has a passion for literacy, education and supporting women. She has a talent for writing, organization, and event planning.

During her tenure as Mom in Chief, Chandra continued to hone her business and event planning skills through participation as a leader in organizations such as PTA and Girl Scouts.  She enjoys giving her time and talent to local organizations such as The Adult Literacy League for their annual fundraiser. Chandra believes in keeping yourself informed and connected and thus is currently a member of The League of Women Voters of Orange County. She is also passionate about the uplifting and support of women in the workplace and holds a membership in the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Chandra’s hobbies include reading, biking, and crafting. Her favorite thing to do is read enthusiastically to preschoolers in the hopes of inspiring them to love reading. Given any spare time, Chandra will plan a trip to somewhere new with her husband and two kids.

Chandra is elated to be a new member of NLC and plans to make the most of this opportunity to prepare her for entrepreneurship and future involvement in policymaking.
