Cecily Hope Pretty is a Senior Management Analyst with the City of San Antonio, serving in the Storm Water Division of the Transportation and Capital Improvements Department (TCI). She is a native of the Chicago suburbs but has spent the last six years in San Antonio and the last five serving the City in various roles with the City Clerk's Office and TCI. Her professional accomplishments include implementing a successful pilot program to facilitate ID recovery for homeless San Antonians, updating the City Clerk's citizen engagement process to be more transparent and inclusive, and current efforts to enhance equity-based considerations in the Storm Water Division for project development and public engagement.
Pretty earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Ethnic Studies from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and her Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley. Her passions include local politics and policy considerations, issues of cultural integration and assimilation, and bringing San Antonio's commitment to the Equity Lens to life in both her public and private life. She currently lives in San Antonio with her husband Eric and their rescue dog Gemma, where they enjoy cooking with local ingredients, watching documentaries and science fiction series, and taking trips to the dog park.
