YWCA of San Antonio, Director of Development

Catie White is a nonprofit fundraiser and community advocate. Raised Birmingham, Alabama, she is grateful to now call San Antonio her home. Catie is a proud alumna of The University of Alabama, and holds dual degrees in Music and Arts Administration as well as a minor in General Business. She further honed her nonprofit skills with a graduate degree in Business Administration. During college, Catie discovered her true passion: nonprofit administration and fundraising. Her entry into a bright nonprofit career started by being a Flute Instructor and Development Assistant at The University of Alabama Community Music School. This first experience quickly flourished into a career focused on promoting altruism, justice, creativity, and collaboration.

Catie has dedicated her professional and personal development towards creating a brighter world. Her previous professional experience primarily includes tenures with nonprofit arts organizations, but in recent years, she has transitioned to humanitarian organizations. Currently as Development Director for the YWCA of San Antonio, Catie directs and guides all fundraising, communications, marketing, and grants responsibilities on behalf of the organization. She also freely invests her time and experience helping worthy local organizations. An animal lover and musician, she sits on the board for San Antonio Pets Alive! and the Olmos Chamber Ensemble, respectively. Catie is currently the Board Chair for the Young Nonprofit Professionals of San Antonio, and is proudly involved in the Junior League of San Antonio. She is skilled in nonprofit financial management, donor cultivation, donor portfolio management, grant writing, event management, artistic planning, and marketing for nonprofit organizations.

When she has free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her dog, writing funny short stories, creatively exploring her Southern culinary roots, getting lost in libraries, collecting odd Star Wars memorabilia, and practicing yoga.
