Cassandra James is committed to the intersections of racial, gender and pay equity. As a Sr. Eligibility Worker for the City and County of San Francisco, she directly partners with marginalized communities to refer and assist in applying for social services programs. Over the course of her career, she has bridged marginalized communities to government agencies rather through legislation or public benefits. In her past work, she co-chair the San Francisco Youth Commission, lead the Youth Justice Committee, organized conferences for individuals dealing with the underground street economy, their allies and partners, and more recently sat on the Racial Equity Work group within San Francisco Human Services Agency. Recently, Ms. James graduated from City College of San Francisco with three degrees: A.A in Arts and Humanities, A.A. in Social Justice and A.S. in Behavioral Science. Currently, she is a candidate for M.B.A at Mills College in Oakland, CA.
