Carson Malbrough is currently the Campaign Manager on a competitive state legislative campaign in California's 68th Assembly district. Carson is working for Irvine City Councilwoman Melissa Fox, as she vies for an Assembly seat in the heart of Orange County. Though he is a proud California native, Carson has experience working on political campaigns in the South, the Pacific Northwest and here in various parts of Southern California. Carson has an extensive background in organizing and grassroots lobbying, both for candidates and legislative initiatives, with a heightened focus on engaging new voters and empowering key communities.
Carson has cultivated an impressive resume of experience. Carson previously served as Campaign Manager for Congressman Earl Blumenauer's re-election bid and was an inaugural fellow at the Blue Leadership Collaborative, an intensive 3-month fellowship program focused on leadership development and campaign management skills training. Before he began leading campaigns, Carson served as Regional Organizing Director for the Los Angeles area at California YIMBY, where he found his voice as an advocate for housing policy reform at the state level. In 2018, Carson worked in multiple capacities on Congressman Beto O'Rourke's U.S. Senate campaign in Texas, most notably in the role of Senior Field Manager where he helped lead a robust field operation in Fort Bend County, a competitive region that flipped in the '18 midterms.
