Cameron Patterson is an Architect who partners with clients and communities to create positive change in the built environment. Rooted in downtown San Antonio, he works at Overland Partners, an award-winning firm that is committed to making the world a better place. He dedicates himself to using the power of design to create a sustainable and equitable future for all. Thus far, his emerging career includes work with educational institutions, hospitality partners, and commercial developers.
During Cameron's academic career, he researched the implementation of new technologies, like CNC, to provide mass-produced affordable housing. Cameron's team received recognition and a People's Choice award in an internal design competition using ICON's 3D printed concrete technology.
As an urban creative, he engages with the City and its rapid growth to advocate for progressive transportation, housing, and development policies. He volunteers at community input sessions to advocate for smart design and development standards for rapidly changing urban neighborhoods. He served as a young voice on the Transportation and Land Use Technical Working Group for San Antonio's recently passed Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, pushing for increased mobility options, growing the urban tree canopy, and building resilient infrastructure. In his free time, Cameron is a casual drummer, outdoorsman, and urban cyclist. He proudly lives car-free and strives to live an eco-conscious lifestyle.
Cameron graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a B.Arch with Honors.
