Cameran J. Bailey is a Regional Planner and Solar Advisor at the Metropolitan Council, which serves as the metro planning body to 188 local governmental units in the Minneapolis-St. Paul 7-county metro region. Cameran provides solar energy and climate change policy, planning, and technical support to all metro region communities. He strives toward environmental, economic, and racial justice through better governance, planning, and policy. He has completed fellowship programs at the National Renewable Energy Lab and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Cameran serves on the Twin Cities NLC Board, and Co-Chairs the chapter’s Selections Committee. He also serves on the board for RedEye Theatre, the Humphrey School Alumni Board, and the American Planning Association’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee (MN Chapter). He moved to Minnesota for grad school, and can often be found mentoring young people, hosting friends for dinner, watching midnight re-screenings at Uptown Theater, and patronizing the Twin Cities’ incredible arts scene.
