Bryce Baker recently relocated from sunny Australia to his wife's hometown of Madison, WI. With a background in technical communications, he has worked for some of the largest enterprise technology companies in the world, as well as for an e-commerce startup, Australia's largest energy utility, and in the political sphere. He has an enormous passion for using technology to improve social equity in government, and wants to find new, creative ways to improve how our representatives can better serve the community. He is particularly passionate about child welfare and is active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Dane County, as well as Canopy Center in Madison. He is also active in non-partisan politics, with an emphasis on fixing corruption inherent in the political system to help improve democracy throughout the U.S.
His proudest achievement was running for Parliament in Australia on behalf of a new, progressive party dedicated to evidence and science-based policies. And although his bid was unsuccessful, the party has helped shape government policy in the following years. In his free time, he enjoys cuddling his pet cat, playing board games with his wife, and going to the movies.
