Britanni O. Greene is currently a Labor and Delivery registered nurse (RN) at a Tenet Healthcare Hospital. There she provides mothers and families compassion and support during the magical moments before and after birth. Due to her service to her patients, she was honored with the DAISY Award from the DAISY Foundation.
Although Britanni currently works as a Labor and delivery RN, her heart resides in mental health. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida, Britanni began her career on the Neurological Intensive Care Unit and in Geriatric Psychiatry. Her position as Director of Nursing and Nurse Liaison at the Geriatric Psychiatry facility, exposed her to the art of policy making and management. The exposure solidified her need to further her knowledge and abilities.
She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Psychiatric Mental Health at the University of the Incarnate Word. During her attendance, she was selected to represent the university at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Student Policy Summit in 2018 due to her passion for health policy.
The daughter of Navy veterans, Britanni is a self-proclaimed “Navy Brat” that has lived in multiple states throughout her childhood. The exposure to various cultures early in her life helped to shape her love of travel, film, food, reading, history, art, nature, and languages. She enjoys experiencing life with her husband, Marcus and her children, Peighton and Paxton.
