Brianna Phillips
CAPTAIN Community Human Services, Street Outreach/Safe Harbour Case Manager

Brianna Phillips is the Street Outreach Case Manager for CAPTAIN Community Human Services. She meets youth in Saratoga, Fulton, and Montgomery Counties who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. She engages youth on the street, living in encampments, shelters, or drop-in centers, and works to provide them access to basic necessity items, stable housing, and referrals to community resources. In February of 2018, she also began serving as the Case Manager for Saratoga County Safe Harbour, identifying and meeting youth survivors of human trafficking and connecting them to a multitude of community services. She had the opportunity to speak at the Saratoga County Safe Harbour Conference in October 2018, as well as at Albany Law School on the topic of human trafficking. Brianna found her passion for working with at-risk youth when she began working as a Youth Care Worker at the Charlton School in 2016.

In 2017, Brianna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Human Services from SUNY Empire State College. She was selected as a member of the 2016-2017 SUNY Empire Student Leadership Institute (SLI). As part of her SLI social action project, her team provided pallet gardens to shelters and transitional living programs across the regions of Central, Rochester, and Saratoga Springs. The mission of the project was to enlighten residents’ days with fresh produce and the opportunity to learn gardening skills.
