A native of the Philadelphia area, Brandon Claybook graduated from Hampton University and began his career at The Vanguard Group working with retail investors seeking advice on portfolio management before moving into the company's high-net worth investor advisory group. There, Brandon managed a business valued at approximately $1.2 billion for 3 years while serving in several leadership roles in the Zeta Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, including Sergeant-at-Arms, Treasurer, and Assistant Dean of Intake. After leaving the City of Brotherly Love, Brandon moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, and changed careers in 2015, joining Walmart's Treasury Department responsible for corporate cash operations. During his time in Arkansas, Brandon's love for advocacy and the Northwest Arkansas community grew. He leveraged his financial background and hosted several financial wellness events for both teens and college students while becoming a member of the EngageNWA's Board of Economic Development. In 2017, he became a charter member of the Arkansas Urban League Young Professionals and has since served in various capacities including Treasurer and Advocacy Chair before accepting the role of Regional Vice President. That same year, Brandon joined Walmart's Benefits Group as a 401(k) Plan Manager where he continues his passion for community development and financial wellness, which has afforded him opportunities both personally and professionally to continue serving his community.
