Although he now resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Brandon Chase McGee is originally from Wichita, Kansas. He is a graduate of Collin County Community College and the University of North Texas in Denton, TX with degrees and certificates in history, political science, dance and leadership. Brandon belongs to various leadership boards in the DFW Metroplex, and is a member of several activist and political organizations statewide. He has served in several roles with many political campaigns in both Kansas and Texas, including most recently the Ira Bershad for Denton County Chair campaign, where he currently serves as campaign chairman. Brandon serves on the Texas Democratic Party Senatorial District 12 Executive Committee. Brandon has been a guest speaker on many national issues such as immigration protection, women's rights, and arts funding. He has also enjoyed moderating various candidate forums and debates of all levels of public service. He is currently in the last few classes of his master's degree at the Texas A&M George Herbert Walker Bush School of Government in Public Policy and Administration. In 2018, Brandon was a Congressional Black Caucus Fellowship Award winner. This year, he was awarded a Battleground Texas Fellowship Award.
