Brailey Kerber is from Elgin, IL and attended UW-Stevens Point for Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. At UW-Stevens Point, she served as Student Body President her senior year. As President, Brailey worked to create a Day of Civic Engagement on her campus, worked with legislators to enumerate building projects and advance student-friendly policy, and engaged with students across the UW System to provide a student voice to a variety of topics. She also authored policy that advised lawmakers on recruiting and retaining teachers. This past summer, she taught improv comedy to middle schoolers and interned in the policy department of the Governor Evers administration. While interning for Governor Evers, she learned about many of the issues that impact Wisconsinites and aided in the development of progressive solutions. The combination of Student Body President and her summer internship lead her to a passion for policy and making Wisconsin a better place. Currently, Brailey teaches 8th grade Language Arts in Fitchburg, WI.
