Beauclarine Thomas is a Budget and Policy Analyst at the Governor's Office of State Planning and Budgeting. In this role, she develops budget requests and policy priorities for the Department of Corrections, Division of Youth Corrections, and Division of Criminal Justice. She previously worked as the JBC Policy Analyst for the House Majority Office. In that role she performed in-depth research of budget-specific legislative issues and existing statutes for the development of the FY19-20 budget. She also served as the point person for all budget-related issues and made strategic recommendations to Joint Budget Committee House members, the Speaker of the House and the House Majority Leader. Prior to this role, Beauclarine was a legislative aide for Senator Angela Williams and an intern with the Office of State Planning and Budgeting. She grew up in Minneapolis and recently finished a Master of Public Policy at the University of Denver. In her spare time, Beauclarine enjoys reading, volunteering, and running.
