Jeff Anderson & Associates, PA, Client Communications Manager

Asja Karić is a refugee from Bosnia and Herzegovina and a first-generation college graduate. She holds a B.A. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota and a M.A. in Advocacy and Political Leadership from Metropolitan State University.

Asja was first introduced to the sexual and domestic violence movement through the stories of courageous rape survivors of Bosnia whose testimonies helped categorize rape as a war crime. Since being moved by these brave survivors, she has effectively advocated for trauma survivors for over eight years. She began her career as an advocate working with victim/survivors of sexual and domestic violence in hospital emergency rooms, shelter programs and courtrooms. Currently, she holds the position of Client Communications Manager for Jeff Anderson & Associates, a law firm that represents victim/survivors of sexual abuse in civil cases against individual offenders and the institutions that harbored them.

Asja has trained legal professionals, students, and advocates in trauma-informed advocacy, the ethics of self-care, and professional advocacy boundaries. She serves on the Board of Directors for Standpoint, a statewide agency providing immediate and free legal advice to victim/survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Asja is passionate about trauma-informed, ethical and sustainable advocacy, and believes in the resilience of the human spirit.
