Ashley Shah is currently a Vice President for ITMS, Inc., a small government contracting firm focusing on professional support services and environmental remediation. In this role, she is responsible for strategic planning and business development efforts, expanding the company's footprint in the federal market. Under her leadership in the Washington Metro Office, over the last 3 years that she has worked at ITMS, she has seen the company grow and tackle new opportunities with the DoD, as well as earned the respect of other teaming partners, both large and small. Prior to her current position, Ashley worked at CEB, Inc. in Marketing Advisory, helping large businesses augment their marketing strategy using best-practice research and case studies.
In addition to her professional career, Ashley participates in local arts initiatives and events in the DMV. She is a contributor to East City Art, a publication aiming to promote regional contemporary visual art, and a member of ArtTable, a professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the visual arts. She has written profiles on new arts developments in the community as well as exhibition reviews. Ashley has also taken on a number of personal projects that help residents explore and gain access to the arts world. She started the Instagram account @galatgalls, which highlighted local artists and galleries, and was a co-host on The Happenings Podcast, a show geared towards reviewing arts experiences.
As Ashley continues to engage with the arts scene through her writing, she is aware of and focused on increasing diversity and inclusivity in the industry. She has seen and experienced firsthand how these varying perspectives help unite people in profound ways. Ashley hopes to merge her skills in business with her passion for artistic expression.
Ashley holds Bachelors' degrees in Art History and Economics from the University of Virginia.
