Ariana Vruwink serves as the Communications Director in the Dane County Executive's Office. She has fun highlighting county initiatives and services, coordinating press events, and immersing herself in the Dane County community and its many offerings. Prior to working in Dane County government, Ariana served as a legislative aide for the Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair. During her time at the capitol, Ariana worked in communications, provided constituent services, and drafted legislation.
Ariana graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with majors in Political Science and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. While at UW-Stevens Point, Ariana had the opportunity to serve as Chief Justice of the Student Government Association, President of the Political Science Honor Society, and work as a writing lab tutor for the Mary K. Croft Tutor-Learning Center. During Ariana's final semester, she received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the College of Letters and Science for scholarly excellence throughout her college career.
In Ariana's free time she likes to watch movies, cheer on the Green Bay Packers, jam out to music, and explore Madison. Depending on the time of year, you may also catch her cross-country skiing, visiting the Pheasant Branch Conservancy, or working her way through the latest season of "Stranger Things." She enjoys reading the occasional political autobiography and has had great fun visiting Dane County's many home décor stores to decorate her apartment. If you can't find Ariana in Madison, there's a good chance she's back home in Wisconsin Rapids visiting her family, catching up with hometown friends, or befriending the newest animal at the family farm.
