Anna is Co-Executive Director of Healthy and Free Tennessee, a nonprofit advocating for sexual and reproductive health and freedom in Tennessee. She’s also a Ph.D. candidate at Vanderbilt in Political Science. Prior to organizing around reproductive freedom in Tennessee, she worked in international politics and has lived and worked in Senegal, Rwanda, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and France with the US Peace Corps, US Agency for International Development, the US Army, and the US Office of Naval Research. In her free time, she enjoys reading science fiction, permaculture design, and hiking with her dog, Connie. In addition to NLC, she serves on the board of Brooklyn Heights Community Garden, an urban garden in north Nashville.
