She holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and Spanish from Scripps College, a women's college in Claremont, California. Her honors thesis examines cultural attitudes toward sex workers amid political upheaval leading up to the Spanish Civil War. A former college radio talk show host, Ann enjoys producing radio stories and creating podcasts. She has worked with the Media Institute for Social Change to produce its program "The Non-Profit Hour" for XRAY.FM in Portland. A story she produced on grassroots abortion funds aired on XRAY.FM in 2017 as part of its post-presidential election programming. Ann grew up in the Portland metropolitan area, where she continues to live and work. She is fond of knitting socks, practicing yoga, trying out new recipes, and tending to her houseplants.
