Angesom Co-founded and currently coordinate Eritrea Dreamers Initiative, a non-profit organization committed to Inform, Support and Mentor his fellow Eritrea's youth who aspire and dream to enhance their capacity through a Higher Education.

He is also master’s candidate in the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where he studies Sustainable International Development. Angesom is also working at Brandeis University as a Teaching Assistant for a Graduate course in Comparative Approaches to Global Injustice and Social Inequality and a Professional Seminar in Digital Media for Community Development.

Before joining Brandeis University, he worked as a development practitioner, citizen journalist and an advocate. His areas of professional interest is Social Justice, Governance, Youth development, Civic Engagement, Human Right Advocacy, and Project Management.
