Angelito Tenorio (he/him/his) serves as Development Director of New Leaders Council leading the organization's national fundraising efforts.

He is the son of Filipino immigrants, and he grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin. Both of his parents were proud union postal workers, and they instilled in him the values of hard work and service to others.

He moved to Madison, WI for his undergraduate studies and quickly became more passionate about advocacy, organizing, and politics. He wanted to join in the fight to make the world a better place for all people.

Angelito successfully ran for alderman in his hometown, becoming the youngest and first person of color on the West Allis Common Council. Angelito has considerable experience in political finance and nonprofit development. He has worked on political campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels. He worked for Wisconsin Conservation Voters, an environmental organization dedicated to combating climate change, fighting for clean drinking water, and advocating for environmental justice. Angelito is a well respected organizer and fundraiser, and he has been influential in Wisconsin politics and the environmental movement.

Angelito most recently worked for Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, CT. He currently lives in New Haven, CT with his partner Ariana, his cat, Hamilton, and his dog, Oliver.

At NLC, Angelito is excited to build support for the next generation of leaders to make positive, meaningful change. He is looking forward to contributing his skills and experiences to serve NLC chapters, fellows, alumni, and communities across the country.
