Born into a Mexican American Family and raised as a Miami Native, Anaruth Solache has never shied away from a challenge. Anaruth graduated with her B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University in 2018. She began her political career in 2015 when she was first starting her B.A. Mobilized and fueled by her own immigrant story, nothing stood in the way of her goals. Anaruth quickly immersed herself in leadership roles for progressive organizations. Her goal was to become an advocate for the people who don't have a seat at the table. Anaruth spent the majority of her time in her undergrad serving communities in need. She became a role model to others and was asked to speak at her University's Women who Lead Conference during her senior year. When Anaruth graduated she continued her political career as a campus organizer where she focused on environmental issues affecting her own community.
She then transitioned into becoming a community organizer focusing on the 2018 midterm elections and assuring that every person she met was registered to vote. Anaruth's outreach in Broward and Miami-Dade College campuses increased the turnout in those areas. While the 2018 midterm elections did not have the results that were intended, that did not stop Anaruth. In 2019 she began her work with Catalyst Miami, starting as a Climate Resilience Assistant where she was helping manage their climate based program CLEAR (Climate Leadership on the Environment, Advocacy & Resilience). Anaruth's passion for climate justice was bigger than ever and she knew she had to take it to the next level. Catalyst Miami offered her a permanent position as a Community Engagement Coordinator. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, Anaruth has focused on getting community members involved in not only climate resilience but in all of the branches of the work that Catalyst Miami has to offer. Anaruth is currently exploring the non-profit sector and all it has to offer.
