Ruth's List FL, Deputy Political Director

Alexis Duling Hart began her political career ten years ago volunteering for then-senator Barack Obama. While studying American Politics and Policy, she interned for Alex Sink’s Gubernatorial race in 2010. After graduating in 2012 from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (Go Knights!), she began working as a Field Director for a U.S. Congressional race in Central Florida.

The next fall she moved to New York and worked on the finance team for the State Attorney General’s re-election campaign. While in New York, she shifted gears and began working with the non-profit sector- first with the National Psychological Association of Psychoanalysis in the Administrative Office. Alexis came back to Florida a few years later and hit the ground running as a Field Organizer for NextGen Climate, a non-profit organization dedicated to 50% clean energy by 2030. She joined the RLF team in April 2016, created our down-ballot program and has since run two call centers that called 1.6 million voters total, and currently serves as their Deputy Political Director.

In this role, she has trained more than 1,000 women across the state. In her role of “recruiter” for Ruth’s List, she has helped identify more than 1,800 potential candidates across the state. When she isn’t helping women win, she enjoys watching The Office with her husband and 3 cats and resides in Altamonte Springs, FL.
