Alexina Jeannite
Grant Manager, Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency

Alexina Jeannite embodies this very sentiment of philanthropy, as quoted by Maya Angelou. Alexina has a true heart for philanthropy: generously giving her time through community service and volunteerism; using her talents to providing free services to new and small nonprofits; and sharing her treasure through her own personal philanthropic initiative - iheartphilanthropy -, an active donor-advised fund. Alexina hopes to build a legacy of generosity and enjoys inspiring others to share in the joy of giving.

Alexina has 12 years of nonprofit and government administration, which includes millions in awarded grants to her credit, and the management of a variety of grantee contract portfolios. Currently, Alexina works as a Grant Manager for the City of Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency; a fairly new post, where she manages the administration of the CRA's funding programs that support redevelopment projects, commercial property improvements, businesses and the work of nonprofit organizations.

Alexina studied at Florida International University in Miami, Florida and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in International Business. She will soon return to her alma mater as a candidate in the Executive Master of Public Administration program at the FIU Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs.
