Alexaundria Leonard, MPS is a communications and digital professional that believes in electoral politics as a pathway to social change. Currently, she works on local electoral campaigns to expand access to the political system for all.
Her life's mission is to use her professional skills to dismantle oppressive political systems for women and people of color. She uses storytelling, specifically in the digital and social space, to create data-driven communication strategies increasing accessibility to our most vulnerable populations.
In 2019, Alexaundria received a Master in Political Management from George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management. In 2017, she graduated from McDaniel College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies. Her research areas include mass incarceration and the prison industrial complex and electability in the 2020 election. She looks forward to building a more progressive America for all.
Alexaundria has always had an interest in government and public service since high school, and served as a page in the Maryland General Assembly. Since, she has served in numerous community and academic organizations. She is a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Gamma Chapter, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha. She has been recognized by Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and is a member of McDaniel College's Trumpeter's Honor Society. Alexaundria has received the Alumni Citizenship Award and the Ralph Chandler and Dorothy Prince Award for Academic Excellence and Service to the College Community. In her free time, she enjoys international travel, online shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
