Digital strategy is changing the face of politics like NLC.
Washington, DC – New Leaders Council (www.newleaderscouncil.org) announced today that Beth Becker is joining as a Senior Fellow consulting on Digital Strategy and Training. Beth Becker brings 20+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and political digital strategy to the New Leaders Council’s curriculum line up.
Beth Becker speaking on the new development, "Anyone who knows me well knows that since I started working in the political space I've been obsessed with training progressives in how to use social media and digital tools strategically. Joining the NLC Family as a Senior Fellow will allow me to continue to do just that while working with an organization on the front lines of building our progressive bench all over the country."
Beth was named one of the world’s 100 Best Social Media Strategists by Sparkuh and won the Most Valuable Session Award at NOI’s 2014 RootsCamp. In addition to her work with progressive clients, Beth was a senior trainer for New Organizing Institute, and conducts trainings all over the world for organizations like Organise US in Australia and Netroots Nation.
Mark Riddle, Executive Director said “Beth’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes her a key addition to the #NLCFamily and fills the void of digital training in the progressive field. Beth’s appointment secures NLC place as the forefront progressive leadership development organization. New innovations and the increasing traffic on social media has changed how government does business and gives a voice to everyone, Beth amplifies NLC’s voice as a community and individual leaders.”
This appointment comes just three days after NY Assemblymember Michael Blake, a former Obama staffer, announced joining as NLC Honorary Co-Chair. New Leaders Council is emerging as the foundation and future of the progressive community.
