New NLC Members

Recruitment season is going strong. We are identifying and engaging the top rising talent across the nation to be apart of the leading progressive training and mentoring program for young professionals – The NLC Institute.

Be sure to read below on the Institute and our selections process. We hope to see you at our upcoming events.

As the NLC Institute continues to grow, we are also excited to announce new Board of Directors Members. Please read more on them below and join me in welcoming them to the NLC Community.

NLC Announces New Members of the Board of Directors
As NLC grows and strengthens, we are honored to have such notable members of our governing body. Today we announce that Augusta Mayor Hardie Davis, Caroline Fayard, Sherry Merfish, David Pepper, and Bret Perkins are joining the NLC Board of Directors.

Together these new members of the Board bring experience from Ohio, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, as well as from diverse sectors. They lend expertise from the faith community, in advocacy and fundraising, strategic partnerships with national organizations and more. And many new members have a unique history of dedication to public service.

The NLC Institute is Accepting Applications
Applications are being accepted until November 1 for the 2016 NLC Institute. Starting in January 2016, each chapter will host a class of 15-20 Fellows who will receive training on topics such as messaging and framing, tech and new media, political management, public relations and marketing, fundraising, and leadership and values development.

Each class brings together local and national experts to serve as faculty and mentors, and each Fellow is so impressive you can expect to also learn from each other.
