New Leaders Council

An update from NLC

This year – NLC’s 10th Anniversary – is shaping up to be one our best. Our dedicated volunteer team of chapter boards and faculty, an incredible class of Fellows, and your support continue to further our mission of training the next generation of progressive leaders.

NLC Institute: Training America’s Future

The NLC Institute is in full swing, and chapters across the nation are hard at work training the 2016 Fellows in communication, digital organizing and fundraising strategies. We’re excited to offer – for the first time – a comprehensive digital organizing training for every Institute, giving our Fellows tools to engage communities in the 21st century.

The NLC Institute comes at no cost to our Fellows, and we can't do it without your support. Can you pitch in $10 to support our mission?

NLC Montana Meets with Governor Steve Bullock

I had the pleasure of visiting Montana's NLC chapter last week, and couldn't be more excited about our future. The Montana Fellows class is a dynamic group of progressive leaders that embody everything that NLC strives to accomplish. NLC Montana Chapter Director Quinlan O'Connor and I also met with Governor Steve Bullock to discuss NLC's impact and mission. Governor Bullock understands the power that the Millennial Generation has, and encouraged us to keep up our hard work.

We have a spectacular team in Montana that is laying the foundation for progressive leaders to move their community forward.

NLC4’s Building America’s 21st Century Innovation Economy Conversation

SFconversation16.png

We hope you can join us in San Francisco in less than a month to be a part of the Conversation with Millennial Leaders. The American economy is witnessing the increasing importance of technology and innovation. In order to prepare our society to compete and succeed in this dynamic economy, we need to address innovation in various sectors.

The impact of these new changes in the economy needs a fresh vision and a new generation of leadership to build a 21st Century Economy of robust economic growth that boosts wages and creates upward mobility for all Americans.

Registration is FREE for current NLC Fellows and open to everyone.

NLC Detroit at Fox News #DemTownHall

We were excited to see some familiar faces in the crowd at the recent Fox News Democratic Presidential Town Hall. Several members of NLC Detroit were able to attend, including 2016 Fellow Keith Jones, who was on stage with the candidates.
