New Leaders Council

Leaders Wanted

The NLC Institute is the premier leadership and professional development program for emerging leaders.

NLC Fellows receive the training, mentoring, networking, and career and political advancement assistance they need through a series of high impact weekends each month. From strategic communications, to fundraising, and entrepreneurship to coalition management, NLC fellows master all the skills needed to lead the next generation.

But by being part of the New Leaders Council Institute, you’re a part of much more than that. You’re part of the NLC Family, a community of folks dedicated to a sustainable progressive movement.

Fellows can expect to learn from experts in their fields and just as much from their peers, the other members of the NLC class.

If you’re not a rising progressive star, you can still be a part of the NLC community by nominating a young leader to the NLC Institute.

Apply, nominate, and spread the word that we are currently accepting applications for the 2016 NLC Class.

With 39 institutes in 2016 and over 3,000 alumni across the nation, NLC continues to build the community of the most impressive young leaders the progressive movement has ever seen.  Be a part of it.
