Congressional Leaders Rally for Future Progressive Leaders
Washington, DC, May 05, 2014 – More than 25 members of Congress, special guests and friends will join New Leaders Council Chairman and former Facebook Executive Chris Kelly at the sixth annual New Leaders Council (NLC) DC Fellows Fundraiser on May 19, 2014 at the AFL-CIO headquarters in Washington, DC. Special guests include Senator Chris Murphy, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Congressman Jared Polis and many more.

NLC is the nation’s only nonprofit mid-career development organization dedicated to cultivating the next generation of progressive leadership – future trendsetters, elected officials, and civically-engaged business leaders who will shape the landscape of our country. NLC works in partnership with numerous organizations including: the Center for American Progress, Truman National Security Project, Teach for America, The New Deal, Netroots Nation, Our Time, Louisiana Progress, Public Allies: Chicago, She Should Run, Young People For and the Roosevelt Institute.
The organization currently boasts 31 chapters, 1,800 alumni, and 600 fellows across the United States. Since launching in 2006, NLC has grown at a pace of five new chapters per year, with a vast network of young progressives from New York to Los Angeles, Baton Rouge to Madison, WI, Silicon Valley to Tampa Bay.
