New Leaders Council

Congratulations, Senator Kaine!

New Leaders Council is extraordinarily proud to congratulate our National Honorary Co-Chair, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, on his selection as the Democratic candidate for Vice President of the United States.

Senator Kaine has led with distinction as a Mayor, Lieutenant Governor, Governor, Chairman of the DNC, and as a United States Senator. I have had the honor of witnessing his commitment to progressive values through his service with NLC. He is a dedicated public servant, and a man of strong character.

Senator Kaine’s commitment to helping next generation leaders is why we sought him to be an Honorary Co-Chair of NLC. NLC is profoundly grateful for the support he has given our organization.

Secretary Clinton had an extraordinary list of people that could serve as vice president. I am sure it was not an easy choice. We wish Senator Kaine and his family all the best in this new endeavor. We will continue the work of building a new generation of progressive entrepreneurs across the country.

We congratulate Senator Kaine on this milestone.”
