The 2016 NLC Institutes & Life Entrepreneurship
This month the 2016 Fellows class participated the NLC Life Entrepreneurship program. Guided by our outstanding team of volunteer facilitators, Fellows reflect on their lives and determine how best to achieve their individual and community goals, using their cohort as a lasting network of support.
The NLC Institute comes at no cost to our Fellows, but it isn’t free to operate. Take a moment to support our mission by clicking here.
NLC New Jersey Hosts 2nd Annual Policy Summit: Improving New Jersey’s Infrastructure
We are excited that NLC New Jersey hosted its 2nd annual policy summit on February 6th focused on New Jersey’s infrastructure. With state experts and thought-leaders in infrastructure development and management in attendance, there will be a lively discussion on the topic. Keynote speaker Jamie Fox, former New Jersey Transportation Commissioner, was joined by Commissioner on the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Upendra Chivukula, and Sergio Alonso Fernandez de Cordova of the SDG-FUND at the United Nations. To help New Jersey’s leaders – of today and tomorrow – understand this critical issue facing our state.

NLC4 and Progressive Policy Institute Host Discussion on Silicon Valley’s Political Power
If you’re in the Washington, D.C. area, we hope you were able to join PPI and NLC4 as we hosted Greg Ferenstein, the author of The Age of Optimists: A Quantitative Glimpse of How Silicon Valley Will Transform Political Power and Everyday Life.
Ferenstein shows that tech founders both love government and often see its regulations as an impediment to innovation. We will have a thoughtful discussion on this new ideology emerging from Silicon Valley and how it will impact our future.
We’re looking forward to policy discussions and more training for our alumni this year. Be sure to check out the NLC4 events calendar and join us at one of our events!
