The NLC Institute has come to a close for the year, but our movement forges on. Over the past 5 months, more than 900 progressive young professionals completed their Institute experience and are gearing up for Fellows Fundraisers. This month, our community met with state and federal leaders, hosted policy discussions, and more.

NLC Institute Applications & Nominations are OPEN!
Over the past decade, New Leaders Council has trained nearly 5,000 progressive leaders across the nation through the NLC Institute. The next class of NLC Fellows will continue building a strong, progressive movement in communities all across America.
Since opening the application last month, we’ve already received hundreds of applications and nominations!

We’re less than two months from the annual NLC National Leadership Retreat. The NLC retreat team is excited to welcome hundreds of progressive leaders to Pittsburgh July 20th-22nd to unite, act and rise.
Through the weekend, our community will come together to develop a shared vision, think strategically and make our plan to rebuild the progressive bench. We'll hear from dynamic NLC leaders in our second series of NLC Spark! Talks. And, we will celebrate the work of our incredible volunteer chapter leadership teams.
NLC New Jersey hosts Millennial Gubernatorial Forum
Over the past few weeks, NLC New Jersey leaders discussed millennial issues with candidates for governor of New Jersey. Through the wide ranging Facebook Live Forums, our leaders spoke directly with the candidates in the primary about issues most important to the millennial generation.

NLC leaders meet with federal and state leaders
NLC leaders across the country are being joined by elected leaders for wide-ranging conversations on the future of the progressive movement, public policy, and how millennials may make the most impact in their communities. Throughout the discussions, NLC leaders engage in thoughtful dialogue on solutions to the obstacles faced by the progressive movement.
