You’ve been hearing it from your friends and your colleagues. And it’s true: the NLC Institute is the premier leadership and professional development program for young progressive professionals. Bringing together training, mentoring, networking, and career and political advancement, the NLC Institute is the key pathway into progressive entrepreneurship. During the NLC Institute you learn everything from Communications, Framing, and Strategic Messaging to Fundraising and Finance to Advocacy Coalition Building, Campaign Management, and Networked Organizing. Even more, once you enter the New Leaders Council Institute you’re a part of something much more than that: the NLC national community.
APPLY TO THE INSTITUTE | NOMINATE A LEADER
Fellows can expect to learn from experts in their fields and just as much from their peers, the other members of your NLC class. NLC Fellows then bring together all these skills by developing their own, individualized Capstone, a detailed life planning document that set outs their personal and professional goals and the concrete steps they—and the NLC Community—can take to achieve those goals. Each fellow presents their capstone to their peers for review, and received ongoing support from the local and national NLC community. If you’re a rising progressive star, please consider applying for the NLC Institute in your area. And, if you know a young progressive star, nominate them and become a member of the NLC community today. So apply, nominate, and spread the word: NLC is accepting applications for the 2015 NLC Class right now. With over 35 chapters across the nation, NLC continues to build the most impressive community of young leaders the progressive movement has ever seen. Be a part of it.
